The 40th dying day of guitar god Hendrix was the reason for guitarist/arranger Mathijs Duringhof to start Scallymatizing the work of this legend and record it with his Scallymatic Orchestra. On Jimi’s 70th birthday they now present: Band of Scallies.

The cross-over of vintage grooves with soul and jazz, the energy and ‘space’, musicality and experiment, great riffs and beautiful songs all are elements that fit the Scallymatic Orchestra like a glove. It’s the Scallymatic Sound: a fresh mix of soul, jazz and 70s grooves.
